HOW TO LIVE IN THESE PERILOUS TIMES

2 Timothy 3:1-17

Truth: We are to turn away from the wrong. We are to follow those who are true. We are to Continue in the holy Word of God. How will you live in these perilous times?

I. WE ARE TO TURN AWAY FROM THE WRONG

1. Those who are lovers of themselves. 2 Tim 3:1-5. Rom 1:28-32
2. Those who reject God and truth. 2 Tim 3:6-9; 13; Titus 1:11

II. WE ARE TO FOLLOW THOSE WHO ARE TRUE

1. Those who teach true doctrine. 2 Tim 3:10; 1 Cor 2:1-5
2. Those who practice what they preach. 2 Tim 3:10
3. Those who purpose to give God the glory. Eph 3:21
4. Those who are willing to suffer. 2 Tim 3:11-12; Psa 34:19

III. WE ARE TO CONTINUE IN THE HOLY WORD OF GOD

1. We know they are Holy Scripture. 2 Tim 3:14-15; 1 Thess 2:13
2. We know the Scripture made us wise unto salvation. 2 Tim 3:15; John 5:39
3. We know the Scripture are inspired and revealed to us by God. 2 Tim 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21
4. We know the Scripture are profitable for doctrine (what is right), for reproof (what is not right), for correction (how to get right), and for instruction in righteousness (how to stay right). 2 Tim 3:16. John 17:17
5. The Scripture equip us for service. 2 Tim 3:17; 2 Tim 2:21. John 17:17-19.
