I. HEARING GOD’S WORD BRINGS SALVATION

1. God’s Word is powerful. Heb 4:12
2. God’s Word reveals sin. James 2:10; Gal 3:22
3. God’s Word brings faith. Rom 10:17. Rom 10:9-13

II. STUDYING GOD’S WORD BRINGS TRANSFORMATION

1. God’s Word teaches doctrine. (What is right.) 2 Tim 3:16
2. God’s Word teaches reproof. (What is not right.) Psa 119:11
3. God’s Word teaches correction. (How to get right.) 1 John 1:8-9
4. God’s Word teaches instruction in righteousness. (How to stay right.) Psa 119:105

III. LIVING GOD’S WORD BRINGS SANCTIFICATION

1. Commitment to the Word of God will empower you. John 17:17-19; 16:13-15
2. Commitment to Christ through action brings Holy Spirit power to our lives. John 14:21-23,26
