THE BIRTH OF THE SON OF GOD

Luke 2:1-20

Truth: The Son of God was born to save the world. The Son of God was born to save you. The Son of God was born must be shared by us. The Son of God was born to save the world!

I. THE SON OF GOD WAS BORN TO SAVE THE WORLD

1. The Son of God became flesh. Luke 2:1-7, John 1:1-2,14
2. The Son of God came to be the Savior of the world. Luke 2:8-11, Isa 9:6-7, John 3:16
3. The Son of God was born to die for our sins on the cross. Matt 1:21, 1 Cor 15:3, Col 1:20, 1 Tim 1:15, Rev 1:5

II. THE SON OF GOD WAS BORN TO SAVE YOU

1. The shepherds heard about the birth of their Savior. Luke 2:11-14
2. We are saved because we heard about the birth of Christ. Matt 1:23, Gal 4:4-6, Rom 10:17
3. We are saved because we believe who He is. Matt 16:13-17

III. THE SON OF GOD WAS BORN MUST BE SHARED BY US

1. Christ commissioned us to share why He came. Matt 28:19
2. Christ accomplished His purpose for being born. Heb 1:3
3. We are to proclaim that trust in Jesus is the only way to be saved. Acts. 4:12, Acts 13:38-39

THE SON OF GOD WAS BORN TO SAVE THE WORLD!
