LORD SEND US REVIVAL

Acts 10:44-48

Truth: Revival comes when God’s people pray. Revival comes when the Holy Sprit comes. Revival comes and brings transformation to our lives. Will you pray for revival?

I. REVIVAL COMES WHEN GOD’S PEOPLE PRAY

1. When there is spiritual and moral decline God puts a longing in our hearts for intense prayer. 2 Chron 7:14. Acts 10:4, Acts 4:31
2. The preached Word brings deep conviction and a desire for Christ. Acts 2:37-38; Acts 10:34-43

II. REVIVAL COMES WHEN THE HOLY SPIRIT COMES

1. The Holy Spirit convicts so deeply that only Christ can bring relief. Acts 10:44-45; Gal 3:22
2. The Holy Spirit revives the backslidden. Psa 51:10-13
3. God receives glory for the salvation of sinners and the reviving of the saints. Acts 10:46, Acts 8:39

III. REVIVAL BRINGS TRANSFORMATION TO ALL

1. Sinners are saved join the church and live for God. Acts 10:47-48. Acts 2:47
2. Christians forsake their sins and return to fellowship and service to Christ and His church.
3. The church has a positive effect on society.

WILL YOU PRAY FOR REVIVAL?

FROM DEATH TO LIFE IN CHRIST

Ephesians 2:1-9

Truth: The terrible spiritual condition of the unsaved person. What God did on behalf of sinners to save them. Are you alive in Christ?

I. THE TERRIBLE SPIRITUAL CONDITION OF THE UNSAVED

1. The unsaved are dead in their trespasses and sins. Eph 2:1, Rom 6:23, Isa 59:2,1 Tim 5:6. Death means separation in Scriptures.
2. The unsaved are disobedient. The world wants us to reform. Eph 2:2-3a, Rom 12:2, the devil lies to us, Eph 6:11-12, the flesh or fallen nature is ruled by lust. James 1:15
3. The unsaved are depraved. Eph 2:3b, Rom 3:23
4. The unsaved are doomed. Eph 2:3c, John 3:18, John 3:36

II. WHAT GOD DID ON BEHALF OF SINNERS TO SAVE THEM

1. God expressed His to us love by mercy and grace by Jesus at Calvary. Eph 2:4, Rom 5:8, John 3:16
2.  God quickens or makes us alive together with Christ. Eph 2:5, Heb 4:12, John 5:24, Eph 1:19-20, Rom 8:11
3. God exalts us. Eph 2:6, Rom 8:17
4. God keeps us. Eph 2:7-9, 1 Peter 1:5, John 10: 27-28

ARE YOU ALIVE IN CHRIST?

BE READY THE LORD IS COMING

1 Thessalonians 4:1-18

Truth: Be ready to live for Jesus. Be ready for the Lord’s return. Be ready for the unbeliever will be judged. Are you ready?

I. BE READY TO LIVE FOR JESUS

1. Live like you are saved for the Lord. 1 Thess 4:1-8. 1 Peter 3:15, 1 Cor 15:34, James 1:17
2. Live sanctified for the Lord’s church. 1 Thess 4:9-10, 1 John 3:16, Rom 13:8,10
3. Live as a soul winner for the sinner. 1 Thess 4:11-12.

II. BE READY FOR THE LORD’S RETURN

1. Know what the Lord says about His return. 1 Thess 4:13-15.
2. Know that when He returns the saints will be with Christ forever. 1 Thess 4:16-18.

III. BE READY FOR THE UNBELIEVER WILL BE JUDGED

1. The Lord will come suddenly. 1 Thess 5:2-3, 2 Peter 3:10
2. The Lord will gather all nations before Him. Matt 25:31-32, Rev. 20:11-13
3. The saints will be judged. Rev 20:12, 1 Cor 3:13-15
4. The unbelieving will be cast into the everlasting fire. Rev 21:8, Matt 25:41.

ARE YOU READY?

GOD PLEASE REVIVE US AGAIN

2 CHRONICLES 7:12-16

Truth: God wants to revive us. God tells us how to be revived. God is the one who brings revival. Will you prepare your heart for revival?

I. GOD WANTS TO REVIVE US

1. God will get our attention. Vs 12-13, Heb 12:5-6,10-11, Rev 3:19.
2. God wants us to listen to His voice. Vs. 14, Rev 3:22.

II. GOD TELLS US HOW TO BE REVIVED

1. We are to humble ourselves. Vs. 14, James 4:6, 1 Peter 5:6-7, Isa 57:15, James 4:10
2. We are to pray. Vs. 14, James 5:16.
3. We are to seek God’s face. Vs. 14, Isa 55:6, Jer 29:13, James 4:8, Psa 105:4, Psa 24:3-6,
4. We are to turn from our wicked ways. Repent. 2 Cor 7:10, Acts 20:21.

III. GOD IS THE ONE WHO BRINGS REVIVAL

1. God will hear our cry. Vs. 14-15, Psa 50:15
2. God will forgive our sin. Vs.14, Jer 31:34, Psa 51:2
3. God will heal our land. (Send revival) Psa 85:6-9.
